SFH on hospital arrangements for possible injuries in protests

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a public function today (September 28):

Reporter: (on hospital arrangements for injuries in protests)

Secretary for Food and Health: The Hospital Authority (HA) all along has a contingency arrangement. The accident and emergency departments of different hospitals will be activated according to the number of victims, the place where the incident occurs as well as the number of seriously injured persons. I am confident that the HA will be able to handle these untoward events. However, although we respect and understand the legitimate concerns of the protesters, we hope that in any time there will not be any violence causing bodily injuries to our protesters and law enforcement officers.
