SFH to attend World Health Organization meeting on traditional medicine
The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, will depart for Macau
tomorrow morning (October 28) to attend the World Health Organization (WHO)
High Level Meeting on the Implementation of WHO Traditional Medicine
Strategy: 2014-2023.
The meeting will be held from October 28 to 30 in Macau. The
Director-General of the WHO, Dr Margaret Chan, will deliver a keynote
address at the launching ceremony of the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy:
2014-2023 in the morning on October 28. In the keynote speeches session
after the ceremony, Dr Ko will outline the Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region Government's efforts in developing Chinese medicine and share his
experience in formulating the relevant policies.
Accompanying Dr Ko to the meeting will be the Director of Health, Dr
Constance Chan, and the Assistant Director of Health (Traditional Chinese
Medicine), Dr Ronald Lam. Dr Ko will return to Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon.
