FHB expressed concern over loss of USB by HA doctor

The Acting Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Gabriel Matthew Leung, today (April 12) was very concern about the loss of USB memory stick again at the United Christian Hospital that contained patients' personal data.

Professor Leung stressed that the staff of Hospital Authority (HA) are under the duty to protect patients' personal data; therefore, he has asked the HA to carefully handle the incident and ensure patients' data and privacy are effectively protected.

He also asked the management of the HA to take appropriate measures in ensuring proper use of computer and other USB memory devices when processing patients' data by doctors and staff.
