Future sustainable fisheries development

< Back

In response to media enquiries, a spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau said today (September 5) that the plans and measures on the future development of sustainable fisheries, drafted by the Committee on Sustainable Fisheries which is chaired by the Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation, are only preliminary proposals.

"The Committee will consult relevant stakeholders, including fishermen groups, green groups, committees relating to fisheries in Hong Kong and bodies that have expressed views to the Committee, on these preliminary proposals. The Committee will complete a report later this year and will submit the report to the Food and Health Bureau for consideration. We look forward to receiving the report from the Committee," the spokesman said.
