SFH on Medical Council reform

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, at a media session at the Legislative Council Complex today (June 29):

Reporter: (about the adjournment of the Legislative Council meeting)

Secretary for Food and Health: It is very unfortunate and I am very disappointed that extensive filibustering has caused the meeting to be abruptly adjourned today. We will never give up. We will try to explain further and hope to gain the support of those members who have changed their mind so that we can still resume and pass the much wanted Medical Registration (Amendment) Bill 2016 as well as the Private Columbarium Bill in the remaining two sittings of Legislative Council of this term.
