SFH on flu

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a radio programme this morning (May 21):

Reporter: Would you comment on why the quick test (on flu) is only implemented in several hospitals? And also the Tamiflu case.

Secretary for Food and Health: It will be inevitable that some types of medical procedures or investigations are arranged to be concentrated in one or more than one centres, while such service is provided to the whole public hospital system.? Under these circumstances, the Hospital Authority has the responsibility to make sure that the specimen transportation and the feeding back of the investigation results should be as efficient as possible.
