SFH on lead in drinking water incident

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after meeting with representatives of District Council Food and Environmental Hygiene Committees today (September 18):

Reporter: Why did you say that there's no need to conduct blood tests for the Kwun Tong kindergarten?

Secretary for Food and Health: We have obtained confirmation from the kindergarten's management as well as the organisation sponsoring the operation of this kindergarten. They confirmed that the boiler concerned has not ever supplied drinking water to the kindergarten's students or any other persons belonging to the easily affected groups.
