Appointments to Hospital Authority

The Government announced today (March 27) the re-appointment of six serving members and the appointment of a new member to the Hospital Authority (HA) for a term of two years.

Ms Chiang Lai-yuen, Dr Kam Pok-man, Professor Gabriel Matthew Leung, Professor Raymond Liang Hin-suen, Mr Pang Yiu-kai and Professor Maurice Yap Keng-hung are re-appointed as members of the HA. Mr Ho Wing-yin is appointed as a new member.

All appointments will take effect from April 1, 2015 except that of Professor Leung. His appointment will start from August 1, 2015.

Mr Ho is an experienced medical laboratory technologist in the public healthcare sector. He is currently the Department Manager (Pathology) of Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, welcomed Mr Ho to the HA. He also thanked Dr Li Chi-kong, who will retire from the HA with effect from April 1, 2015, for his advice and contribution to the HA over the years.

The HA, as from April 1, 2015, will comprise a chairman, 23 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the HA. The new membership list is as follows:
