Press Releases
SFH on minor works projects for public hospitals
Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for
Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after visiting Wan Chai District
this afternoon (October 2):
Reporter: The allocation is quite a large amount. Would you at the
same time also ensure the public hospitals will improve their
service to the public?
Secretary for Food and Health: In my recent round of visits to the
seven clusters of public hospitals, one thing is very obvious.
Because of the heavy usage and the high patient flow in our public
hospitals, the (hospital) facilities are easily worn down.
Therefore, there is a need for the Hospital Authority to undertake a
larger-scale minor works renovation project for the whole public
hospital system.

Chinese portion of the transcript.)
