SFH on Import and Export (General) (Amendment) Regulation 2013

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a television programme today (March 23):

Secretary for Food and Health: We are now examining details of the guidelines and support provided to our front-line law enforcing officers regarding measures of restricting the export of formula milk from Hong Kong. We hope that with experience and feedback obtained, the guidelines could be improved. I must reiterate that removal of this particular restriction will be considered only when we are confident that measures taken by our (infant formula) suppliers and retailers can ensure adequate supply of formula milk for our local families. Thank you.
