Press Releases
SFH on human swine flu vaccination
Following is the transcript of remarks (English portion) made by the
Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, at a media stand-up session at
the Legislative Council Building today (January 11):
Reporter: Is it very likely that you are going to extend your swine flu
vaccination programme (to other groups of people)?
Secretary for Food and Health: Since we will have an abundant supply of
vaccine by the time the second batch (of vaccine) comes in mid or late
January, we might expand the vaccination programme to other groups as well
so that anybody who is willing to undertake vaccination might have access to
the vaccine.
Reporter: (Offering jabs to some people for free)
Secretary for Food and Health: We will consider whether we will charge
patients, particularly those who participate through the private sector, and
they might have to pay a nominal fee for the injection.

Chinese portion of the transcript)
