Appointments to the Hospital Authority

The Government announced today (March 28) the re-appointment of two members and appointment of one new member to the Hospital Authority for a two-year term with effect from April 1.

Mr David Lie-A-Cheong Tai-chong and Mr Gregory So Kam-leung have been re-appointed as members to the Hospital Authority. Ms Lau Ka-shi has been appointed as a new member.

Ms Lau is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Consortium Trust Company Ltd. She is also a member of the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund Committee, Mandatory Provident Fund Industry Schemes Committee and Women's Commission.

The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, welcomed the new member to the board. He also thanked the outgoing member of the authority, Mrs Gloria Ng Wong Yee-man for her advice and contribution to the Hospital Authority. Mrs Ng will retire from the board on April 1 after having served on the board for six years.

With effect from April 1, the authority will comprise a chairman, 20 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the authority. The new membership list is as follows:
