Wholesale price of live cattle

A spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau said today (July 21) that the bureau noted that Ng Fung Hong had increased the wholesale price of live cattle from the Mainland.

"In the past year, the price of imported live cattle to Hong Kong was stable with wholesale price ranging from $21 to $22 per kilogramme.

"The wholesale price of live cattle today is at $23.8 per kilogramme, higher than that of July 20 and July 19 by 5% and 7.7% respectively. We will closely monitor the situation," the spokesman said.
