Appointment of Members of the Hospital Authority
The Government today (March 28) announced the re-appointment of four members to
the Hospital Authority for a two-year term with effect from April 1. The four
members are Prof Lai Kar-neng, Mr Lawrence Lee Kam-hung, Mr Peter Lo Chi-lik and
Mr Charles Peter Mok.
Prof Lam Shiu-kum, former Dean of Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong
Kong, will retire from the Board on April 1 after serving for six years on the
board.
The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr York Chow, thanked all members
for their advice and contributions to the Hospital Authority in the past term.
The authority, as from April 1, will comprise a chairman, 18 non-official
members, three public officers and one principal officer from the authority, and
the new membership is as follows:
