SHWF's statement

        The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr Yeoh Eng-kiong, said he was sorry to learn that Professor Sydney Chung had resigned from his post as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 

        "Professor Chung has made many contributions to patient care, the health system and medical education in his many years as a doctor, as the Dean of the Medicine Faculty of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and as a member of the Hospital Authority Board.

 

        "I have the greatest respect and admiration for Professor Chung, who is an outstanding doctor and academic. I thank him most sincerely for all his work. His departure from Hong Kong will be a great loss to the Hong Kong community but I wish him well in his future endeavours," Dr Yeoh said.
