The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan (centre) today (June 9) present certifications of appreciation to Gold Award winners of Give Blood Alliance, in recognition of their active participation in hosting mobile blood drives and achieved 300 or more units of blood collection last year. Awardees from the private-sector included Prudential Hong Kong Limited, MTR Corporation Limited, AIA International Limited and Manulife (International) Limited. In particular, over 1 500 units of blood were collected from Prudential Hong Kong in its blood drive campaigns last year.
The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan (centre) today (June 9) present certifications of appreciation to Gold Award winners of Give Blood Alliance. Disciplined Services had been the mainstay of blood donation campaign. Hong Kong Police Force, Hong Kong Fire Services Department, Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department and Hong Kong Correctional Services Department, together had contributed a total of over 2 200 units of blood last year.
