The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan (fourth right), today (May 16) convened an inter-departmental meeting to listen to reports by the Department of Health and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department on the follow up actions on three cases of human infection by rat Hepatitis E virus as well as rodent control work. The Chair of Infectious Diseases, Department of Microbiology of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, Professor Yuen Kwok-yung (fifth left), also attended the meeting to provide expert advice.
