The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan, led a delegation to Huizhou to attend the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Hygiene and Health Cooperation Conference on January 9 to promote closer ties with the Mainland and Macao health authorities. The conference was co-organised by the Health and Family Planning Commission of Guangdong Province, the Food and Health Bureau, and the Health Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. Professor Chan (right) is pictured after signing a framework agreement on co-operation among the three places on hygiene and health with the Director General of Guangdong Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, Mr Duan Yufei (centre), and the Director of the Health Bureau of Macao, Dr Lei Chin-ion (left).
